Meet the Team

T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Accomplishes More

Harper Farms has a qualified and multi-talented team of workers who represent both energetic youth and hard-earned experience. We appreciate the loyalty and hard work of our employees, with some of our current workers being second and third-generation employees.

Founders & Family

Bobby Harper

Bobby Harper is the founder of Harper Farms. Our farm had its early beginning in 1923 when Alvin H. Harper and his new wife, Ina Watson Harper purchased 36 acres, primarily used for vegetable farming, approximately 3 miles southeast of Trenton, Tennessee. Some years later, they purchased an adjoining 20 acres. In 1951, his son Bobby Harper, and his wife, Betty Hale Harper, purchased a 45-acre farm nearby and began farming with his father, Alvin. Since that time, Bobby has grown Harper Farms into a successful farming operation in Gibson County, growing corn, wheat, and soybeans.

Peyton Harper

Peyton has 13 years’ farming experience, having grown up helping out on the family farm.  As a new generation farmer, Peyton’s desire is to incorporate cutting edge agriculture science and technology into the established farming business.

Peyton holds a Restricted Use Pesticides license. A graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Political Science and a graduate of Ag Star Leadership program, Peyton is actively involved in various community groups such as Farm Bureau, Young Farmers and Ranchers, a fraternal organization, and First Baptist Church.
